MycoVibes Biotech at Pitch Perfect & Boost the European Bioeconomy 2025
In November 2025, MycoVibes Biotech participated in Pitch Perfect & Boost the European Bioeconomy in Brussels, connecting with innovators, investors, and industry leaders while showcasing our circular shiitake mycoprotein platform. The event provided a unique opportunity to pitch our sustainable protein solution, gain insights on scale-up and biomanufacturing, and engage with Europe’s vibrant bioeconomy ecosystem.
In late November, MycoVibes Biotech took part in Pitch Perfect & Boost the European Bioeconomy 2025, one of Europe’s key events connecting innovators, investors, and industry leaders working to scale bio-based technologies. Held in Brussels, the event brought together stakeholders from across the bioeconomy to explore pathways for commercialization, scale-up, and investment.
Pitching circular protein solutions in Brussels
On 25 November, our Founder & CEO, Katarzyna Nowak, pitched MycoVibes Biotech during Session S4: Proteins & Food Ingredients, focused on early-stage financing (pre-seed, angel, and seed). During the session, Katarzyna presented how we transform food-industry side-streams into nutrient-rich, allergen-free mycoprotein using our circular shiitake (Lentinula edodes) fermentation platform.
Our approach demonstrates that sustainable protein solutions can be both high-quality and resource-efficient, addressing environmental impact while meeting functional and nutritional requirements for future food applications.
Our Head of Strategy & Innovation, Adonis Hilal, also joined the event on-site, engaging in discussions with potential partners and investors across food, biotech, and the circular bioeconomy.
Valuable insights from across the bioeconomy value chain
Beyond the pitch sessions, Pitch Perfect 2025 offered a highly relevant program for early-stage biotech companies. We gained valuable insights from investor reverse pitches, matchmaking meetings, and in-depth discussions covering topics such as techno-economic analysis, scale-up strategies, and biomanufacturing challenges.
A particular highlight was the visit to the Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, which reinforced the importance of accessible, practical scale-up infrastructure in bridging the gap between laboratory development and industrial deployment, an essential step for emerging fermentation-based technologies.
Looking ahead
Participating in Pitch Perfect & Boost the European Bioeconomy 2025 was an energizing and highly relevant experience for our team. The quality of conversations and the openness of the ecosystem reaffirmed the strong momentum behind circular, bio-based solutions in Europe.
We return inspired and focused on the next steps: continuing to develop and validate our shiitake mycoprotein platform, building strategic partnerships, and demonstrating how food-industry side-streams can be upcycled into scalable, sustainable protein solutions.
